Giving is Easy!
Even when travel, illness, or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, our church will still receive your contributions. We encourage you to use Bill Pay or electronic giving — it’s convenient for you and provides financial consistency for our church.
If you’d like to make a one-time, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual contribution to EGUMC by electronic methods, you’re encouraged to contact your bank and use “Bill Pay.” Through Bill Pay, 100% of your donation is given to the church. Bill pay is also a great way to stay current when traveling or absent from church.
For those who do not have Bill Pay, we do have an electronic option through VANCO. However, they charge the church 1-2% of the donation for using their services. In order to maximize the use of donations, we recommend using Bill Pay through your bank whenever possible.

eScrip is proven to be a fantastic resource for fundraising where participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to the school, group or organization of your choice.
Here’s How it Works:
Grocery Store “Scrip” Cards
In addition to registering you Safeway Club Card with eScrip, we have “scrip” cards for Raley’s & Bel Air, Save-Mart, and Nugget. Please see a member of the Stewardship Committee to get one or all of these cards. We will provide you with instructions for registering and using these grocery store cards.
Since 2003, your scrip purchases have benefited the Church over $11,000! So, please keep using your cards or sign-up today.
Do you have old or broken electronics and you don’t know what to do with them? Did you know that you can have them picked up from your home for free and the church will benefit? All you have to do is go to the website, www.eWaste4good.com, fill in your information and within a few days a dispatcher will call you to schedule an at home or office pickup date. Then, your electronics will be picked up, recycled and the proceeds will be sent to our church. You can also call eWaste4good at 800-317-3112.
Did you know that you can earn money for the church by going out to eat? Once each month there will be a “restaurant night” when you go to eat at a specific restaurant and give the server a flyer provided by the church. A portion of your bill will be given to the church. What could be easier than that!

Celebration Envelopes – What are they?
When you sign your name in the pad in the pew each Sunday, you may have noticed some envelopes tucked into the cover. These envelopes are provided for those who want to make a donation in celebration or recognition of a particular event – birthdays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, new baby or adoption, new pet, new home, or whatever you feel like celebrating. You have the option of keeping the event private, or you may allow the event to be posted with other celebrations on the wall at the back of the sanctuary. The donations will support the mission and ministry of the Elk Grove United Methodist Church and will be reflected on your church giving statement. Thank you!
