Confirmation Class

Young people ( grades 7-10  as of August 2013 ) gather together to explore what it means to follow in the way of Jesus in the 21st century. A variety of learning methods are used including discussion, learning centers, art, drama, music and field trips. Topics for the gatherings include God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Christian faith, the general rules of the United Methodist Church, Christian mission & service, decision-making and membership vows.  Young people are encouraged to think, explore, discuss and wrestle with issues of faith as well as to put what they learn into practice through service hours.

Confirmation Camp 2013: Following Jesus

In 2013 we are trying a new venture–Confirmation Camp!  It  is scheduled for July 29-August 4, 2013 at First UMC in Salinas.  Young people who are going into 7th-10th grade as of August 2013 are welcome in the camp.  Elk Grove UMC and First UMC of Loomis are the sponsors of the camp.
